Today, June 11, the Costa Rica -Spain Business Meeting has taken place in the city of San José (Costa Rica), within the framework of the visit to the country of the President of the Government of Spain, Pedro Sánchez.
The objective of this meeting has been to promote investment by Spanish companies in the country, through Public-Private alliances, as well as to promote synergies with the Costa Rican business sector.
The event was attended by and counted with the participation of the President of Costa Rica, Carlos Alvarado, as well as the First Lady, Claudia Dobles, the Minister of Planning and Economic Policy, the Vice Minister of Multilateral Affairs and International Cooperation and the coordinator of the Economic Diplomacy Process, among other personalities of the Costa Rican government.
On behalf of the Spanish delegation participated, along with President Sánchez, the Minister of Industry, Tourism and Commerce of Spain, representatives of the Chamber of Commerce of Spain and managers of some 20 companies and Spanish business organizations.
Among them, Globalvia, represented by our CEO, Javier Pérez Fortea, having a very prominent role in the event. Our Company had been selected to present our presence in Costa Rica, as a case of success.
During his speech, Javier has made a chronological overview of Globalvia’s work in the country through our Concession Ruta 27, the investment made and the benefits that the project has brought to the country: bringing the Central Pacific closer to the Greater Metropolitan Area, the generation of employment and the development of the country’s productive sectors, such as tourism, among others.
Javier has defined Costa Rica as an optimal scenario to host investments and has highlighted our interest in the Central American country.
