From October 26 to 28, a new edition of Expodrónica, the largest drone event in southern Europe, has taken place in Madrid, by the hand of the World ATM Congress, which has already attracted more than 6,000 experts in drones and AAM since its first edition began in 2015.
From Openvia, we have not wanted to miss this special event and we have sponsored the Expodrónica Campfire, dedicated to the presentation of interesting projects and case studies of the exhibitors participating in the event.
Among them, our colleague Isidoro Toledano, Openvia Air Operations Manager, has made known our commitment and vision on Urban Air Mobility, as well as our intention to be key players in the co-creation of a new mobility system.
On the other hand, Fernando Vallejo, Head of Innovation and Systems at Globavia and General Manager at Openvia, has also participated in a session during which he presented the roadmap for the development of “vertiports” vertical airports for drones, key to the integration of UAVs into the sky of the future.
Besides our presence at Expodrónica, we also have turned into key players in TRAFIC 2021, the Sustainable and Safe Mobility International Exhibition, a meeting point for actors in the mobility and innovation ecosystem, and in which Openvia by Globalvia we have taken part as Industrial sponsor.
During the days of November 2 to 4, several colleagues from both Globalvia and Openvia, have had the opportunity to participate in the Innovation Arena workshops promoted by the Connected Mobility Hub, an opportunity for the exchange of ideas and impressions among professionals of the sector.
Among them, our colleague Pablo Fernández Vivanco, Openvia’s Innovation and Program Manager, has participated in several presentations and round tables that have been formed around the challenges defined for TRAFIC. Specifically, Pablo has participated as a moderator in the talk on Cooperative Systems and Connected Vehicle and has participated as a panelist in the talk on Digital Twin.
