Águeda de Lara Valero joined Globalvia in 2021 as Internal Audit and Global Risks Director. She reports to Mr. Javier Pérez Fortea, Globalvia´s CEO and to the Audit and Risk Committee.

She is a Certified Internal Auditor with over twenty years of experience in Internal and External Audit. She holds a dual degree in Business and Law from Universidad Pontificia de Comillas and also a Master’s Degree in Big Data, Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence by IE.

Upon graduation, Águeda embarked on a career in auditing with Deloitte, leading the statutory audit of IBEX-35 companies. In 2004, she joined PRISA, a Spanish multinational media company as Internal Audit Manager. From 2006 onwards, she served as Head of Internal Audit at EDP Renováveis (EDPR), a renewable energy multinational company. There she led the audits of Europe, Mexico, Colombia, Canada and USA. She reported to the Chairman of the Executive Committee and to the EDPR Audit Committee.

Águeda has great expertise in setting up strategy, processes and policies for internal audit and a strong experience in risk management together with her international background.
