On 5 July Globalvia increases 22.22% its stake in Autoestrada da Beira Interior (Scutvias).
In February, the Company took the control of the asset thanks to increase its minority stake until 55.55%. Thus, Globalvia nowadays has the 77.77% of the asset shareholding.
The Autoestrada da Beira Interior (Scutvias) is located in the centre of Portugal, between the Abrantes and Guarda regions. The overall length of the highway is 198 kilometres and more than 22 million users travel along it per year. The highway links Beira Interior with the South of Portugal and funnels the traffic coming from the North of Spain and going to Lisbon.
The term of the concession is 30 years and it is under operation since 2005.
Globalvia, whose stakeholders are OPTrust, PGGM and USS, is present in 8 countries and manages 27 assets.
