Globalvia participating in the USP3 Infrastructure Forum in New York

Globalvia had the opportunity to participate once again, as a speaker and sponsor, at the USP3 Infrastructure Forum, organized by InfraAmericas in June 15th and 16th at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in New York.

This event has already established itself as one of the most important events in the infrastructure sector and public-private partnerships in North America. Its mission is to speak about what is happening in the transport infrastructure sector throughout the country and discuss the issues that draw the industry’s future.

This edition, which  is already the number 12, was focused on the enactment of the Fixing America’s Surface Transportation (FAST) Act, the first law to provide long-term funding for transportation projects in more than a decade, and the important projects that the American Government has been carried out in the last 12 months.

The Globalvia’s speaker in the conference was Carlos Mérida, Investment Director, who participate in the discussion panel “Railways P3’s and the Expansion of the US Transportation Sector”, was focused on whether the PPP model could be broadly implemented in the US market and which procurement and risk structure would be most beneficial for this purpose.

Carlos Mérida emphasized the Globalvia’s approach to reinforce the P3 model and its advantages in the public sector and he the LRT as a clear example where PPP model would capture all this benefits.
