Yesterday, 20 January, Globalvia took part in the IX Infrastructure Sector Meeting under the heading “Current situation and prospects in the transport infrastructure sector” celebrated in Madrid and organized by Deloitte in collaboration with ABC, OHL and Alstom.

This meeting brought more than 250 managers and experts of infrastructure leading companies together for sharing experiences and discussing opinions about the current and future situation in the infrastructure sector.
Javier Pérez Fortea, CEO of Globalvia, participated actively in the panel discussion called “Prospects in the concessions sector and public-private collaboration  opportunities” together with OHL Concesiones CEO, Iridium CEO and Cintra Europe Director.

This discussion panel analyzed the concessions sector prospects both in Spain and abroad and the necessary changes in our concessions system to pursue and to reactivate the sector in our country.
“Our regulation has allowed us to be one of the infrastructure transport leaders countries in the world but Spain has shown weaknesses and uncertainties because of the crisis, at which time we must be stronger.
So we don’t have to change regulations drastically but we have to apply it rigorously”, Javier said regarding the changes that are necessary in our concession regulation to achieve the above objectives.

The event ended with the participation of Ana Pastor, Minister of Development who was responsible for the meeting closing.
