A participative ecosystem
At Globalvia we know that we are stronger together and we are aware that building bridges in collaboration with other players is fundamental, so that together we can fulfil our commitment to sustainability and achieve our goals. With this outlook, we have already made the following alliances.
United Nations Global Compact
Since 2012 we have been a part of this Compact that supports and promotes the fulfilment of ten universally accepted principles, grouped together in four themes: Human Rights, Labour, Environment and Anti-Corruption. The UN Global Compact is the biggest international corporate citizenship initiative in the world, in which companies undertake to align their strategies and operations with these ten universal principles, and to promote the Sustainable Development Goals. Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi)
This is an initiative that seeks a transition towards a low-carbon economy, promoting the establishment of science-based objectives to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The objectives are considered to be “science-based” if they are in line with what the most recent climate science considers necessary to meet the objectives of the Paris Agreement: limiting global warming well under 2ºC over pre-industrial levels, and making efforts to limit warming to 1.5ºC.
Madrid Futuro
A non-profit association driven through civil society that seeks to transform and revitalize the city of Madrid following the Covid-19 crisis. In 2020, Globalvia joined as a partner together with thirty other companies and entities to implement transformation projects based on four strategic axes: health and wellbeing, sport, Spanish language and culture and sustainability and digitization.
Multimodal Mobility Manifesto
This initiative, which was started by Connected Mobility Hub, materialized through the commitment by over 20 mobility companies and the local administration in Madrid, to speed up sustainability in the urban area. In this sense, multimodal mobility arose as a solution that places citizens and their needs at the centre of the project, with public transport as the backbone and integrating other necessary mobility services and infrastructures so that all the involved players inter-operate effectively.
EIT Urban Mobility
We joined this initiative by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), an EU organization, to boost transformation in urban mobility.
EIT Urban Mobility aims to create a participative ecosystem that involves all players who are able to provide innovative, transformative solutions to the urban mobility equation in cities: private companies, public administration, educational institutions, and as could not be otherwise, citizens ourselves.
